The Basque Government awards the contract for the drawing up of the construction project for the bridge to join Zorrotzaurre and Deusto

16/09/2011

The Department of Housing, Pubic Works and Transport of the regional Basque Government, through the public body ETS, has awarded the drawing up of the construction project for the bridge that will join Deusto (next to the new IMQ Clinic) to the future island of Zorrotzaurre, to the temporary consortium formed by the firms Ingenierías Arenas y Asociados and CV Ingeniería.

The construction costs for this first bridge in the Zorrotzaurre urban renewal project will be met by the Zorrotzaurre Management Commission.

The budget for the project is €175,000 over 10 months. Once the project is drawn up, the Bilbao City Council will tender out the opening of the Deusto Canal and the construction of the bridge to a single contractor to ensure the lowest cost and shortest delivery time.
